On October 7, a ceremony marking the 2,577th anniversary of the birth of Confucius, the Great Sage and Teacher, and the 2026 Autumn Confucius Sacrificial Ceremony at Chenyan Dacheng Hall was held at the hall. Chen Jinsen, a board member of the Meizhou Mazu Temple and director of the Putian Guild Hall, led a delegation to the event.

In his remarks, Chen Jinsen said that the Mazu sacrificial rite, the ceremony honoring the Yellow Emperor, and the ceremony honoring Confucius are collectively known as China's three major sacrificial rites. He noted that Mazu's spirit of "virtue, benevolence, and universal love" shares the same roots as the Confucian ideal of benevolence. Both are grounded in the fertile soil of Chinese culture and complement one another in encouraging goodness, cultivating virtue, serving society, and benefiting the people.
